TRIPLE POINT OF WATER - THE CALIBRATION CONSTANT

2/3/2021

Check out our newly released Triple Point of Water Presentation on our Youtube Channel
https://youtu.be/MI91WAOysCQ

To ensure your calibrated thermometers are within specification every time you use them, test them in a Triple Point of Water Cell.

The Fluke Mini Triple Point System allows you to generate the triple point of water within 20 minutes and you can then test your thermometers at the critical calibration point of 0.01 degC.

If the thermometer has been damaged through use, it will become apparent at that point and you will be able to identify any compromised calibration equipment.

The result – you can have confidence in your calibrations.

Choosing the right Fluke Pressure standard

18/5/2018

Make the right choice to ensure the quality of your calibrations. There are many different types of pressure standards available for performing pressure calibrations. Each of these standards has its own unique benefits and drawbacks and thus each is appropriate for different applications.

Choosing the right standard for the right calibration workload is essential to ensure the quality and efficiency of your calibrations.

The types of standards include:
  • Piston gauges
  • Deadweight testers
  • Pressure controllers and calibrators
  • Pressure comparators and digital pressure gauges
  • Portable/handheld pressure calibrators
This document explains the different types of pressure standards available, what their benefits and drawbacks are, and provides example workloads.

EU to introduce measures to reduce acrylamide in foodstuffs

25/8/2017

NDC Degree of bake on-line moisture analyser
Next year the EU is placing more formal measures in place to actively reduce levels of acrylamide in foodstuffs. The snacks industry has long used moisture control to mitigate against acrylamide formation and this is further discussed in the link below: http://www.fooddrinkeurope.eu/uploads/publications_documents/AcrylamideToolbox_2013.pdf

This legislation may well propel companies to take their moisture measurement more seriously. The NDC Degree of Bake measurement does not measure acrylamide content but will benefit customers in that they will be able to produce more consistent golden brown product through the use of on-line moisture control.
