Raytek XR
The Raytek XR Sensors are designed for continuous temperature monitoring in a broad range of manufacturing processes. The XR is a rugged, NEMA 4 sealed single-piece system with the flexibility to handle nearly any application.
Product Description
The Raytek XR infrared temperature sensors are designed for continuous temperature monitoring in a broad range of manufacturing processes. The XR is a rugged, NEMA 4 sealed single-piece system with the flexibility to handle nearly any application. Multiple extended temperature ranges, precision temperature resolution, RS-485 output and a flexible electronic platform create a single sensor that solves the most challenging application. Optional laser sighting and high-resolution optics provides the solution for either small targets or long sight-tubes. An intuitive user interface reduces setup time and adds powerful trouble-shooting capabilities.
Common and configurable installation hardware and software reduces installation expense and variation. The Raytek XR has a flexible user defined analog output, allowing this sensor to be installed with almost any existing control system. This unique capability sets a new standard for process monitoring. The Raytek XR sensor insures a consistent manufacturing process and allows tighter tolerances on heating processes, reducing heating costs.

Thermalert TX
General purpose temperature measurement system for process control systems applications in broad variety of temperature ranges (-18 to 2000°C/0 to 3630°F) and spectral responses.
Product Description
The Thermalert TX infrared temperature sensors are available in two configurations:
1. TX Basic Sensors offer outstanding performance when used in single-unit installations.
2. TX Smart Sensors, which have remote addressability, can be easily installed in multidrop configurations including special ones for monitoring glass and plastics processes. TX Series Smart Sensors communicate over a simple loop-powered 2-wire cable using the HART (Highway Addressable Remote Transducer) protocol. This signal combines industry-standard 4-20 mA output with simultaneous digital communications.
It includes Raytek DataTemp Multidrop software to enable easy and consistent installation, configuration and data capture across the following applications:
- steel and metals processing (foundry/forging operations & heat treating)
- glass bending, forming, tempering, annealing, and sealing
- paper processing (ink drying/curing & lamination)
- plastics processing and thermoforming; and semiconductor processing

Marathon MM
The new Marathon MM Series platform, which covers a temperature range of minus 40 to 3000°C (minus 40 to 5432°F), consists of six IR temperature sensor models, each with a specific measurement wavelength and temperature range appropriate for either low- (minus 40 to 800°C / minus 40 to 1472°F), medium- (250 to 1100°C / 482 to 2012°F), or high-temperature (300 to 3000°C / 572 to 3273°F) production monitoring.
The Marathon MM now features Precision Variable Focus that allows fast, easy and accurate adjustment of the focus of measurement targets, either by push-button at the rear of the instrument or remotely via an RS232/RS485 PC connection, where adjustments can be seen real-time through video. Sensors with variable focus option can be configured according to each application requirements reducing the installation time and chance for incorrect installation.

Raytek MI
The Raytek MI infrared pyrometer is a two-piece infrared pyrometer system with a miniature sensing head and separate electronics. The miniature sensing head is small enough to be installed just about anywhere, but performs as well as much larger and more expensive systems. The MI measures target temperatures ranging from -40 to 600°C (-40 to 1112°F). Easily adjust the MI signal processing electronics, which include Emissivity, Peak Hold, Valley Hold, and Averaging functions, on the 5-digit LCD user interface.
Newly introduced Raytek MI with 22:1 Optical Resolution allows accurate measurement of very small spot sizes in confined spaces and difficult ambient conditions.

Raytek CI
The Raytek CI noncontact infrared pyrometer is compact and easy to install. Designed for easy integration into a standard 4-wire system, the CI sensor can easily replace traditional contact probes with a J-type or K-type thermocouple output. A 0-5 volt output is if your application is susceptible to noise or requires a longer cable run.
The CI unit's onboard electronics are protected by a rugged IP 65 (NEMA-4) stainless steel housing, allowing the sensor to function in ambient temperatures to 70°C (160°F) without cooling. With water cooling, the CI sensor can withstand ambient temperatures to 260°C (500°F).
- Type J or K, or 0-5 V output
- IP 65 (NEMA-4) stainless steel electronics housing
- 4:1 optics at 90% energy
- 350 mSec (95%) response time
- Powered by 12–24 VDC at 20 mA
- Accessories for cooling and air purging
